1998 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball 1st Round - Nevada, Las Vegas vs. Princeton

Princeton defeated UNLV by a score of 69-57. UNLV was seeded twelfth and Princeton was seeded fifth. The Tigers were coached by Bill Carmody and the Spartans were coached by Tom Izzo. Princeton went on to lose to Michigan State in the following round of the tournament.
