Who is ready to collaborate, innovate and advance?
On June 21-22, NAAC will congregate for one of its most exciting annual initiatives, the 2010 NAAC Convention. This year, the Convention will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Anaheim, Calif.
The three words above were outlined as goals for 2010 that would serve as a theme for the Convention to drive concepts, programming and outcomes:
COLLABORATE: One of the most valuable attributes of the compliance profession is the network of experienced professionals that face interesting challenges on a daily basis. The opportunity to learn, grow and contribute to the profession wil happen at the 2010 Convention.
INNOVATE: The Convention affords compliance professionals the opportunity to look at the "art" of compliance as opposed to just the black and white of the rules and regulations we are expected to analyze, interpret and explain to our constituents. After hearing feedback from last year's Convention, we have incorporated best practice sessions to you can hear from those that sit in the same seat as you.
ADVANCE: The ability to advance your own athletics departments through the concepts relevand to our professional aread is one of the most important values we can share with our membership. By advancing your own operations on campus, you are also acquiring the developmental experiences that can propel your own career within athletics administration.
We hope you are as excited for our 2010 Convention as we are. Register TODAY!

The Association is also asking for nominations for the Frank Kara Leadership Award. The Frank Kara Leadership Award is NAAC's premier award, and the highest honor that may be bestowed upon compliance professionals. This award is named in honor of former University of Minnesota Director of Compliance, Frank Kara, who was a leader in the compliance field and best known for hosting the inaugural NAAC Convention in 2006. Sadly, Frank lost his battle with cancer at the age of 40.
