EASTON, Pa. – Sophomore Shannon Addario placed 25th to lead the Saint Joseph's women's cross country squad at the Lafayette Leopard Invitational, held at Lafayette's Metzgar Fields on Saturday morning. The Hawks accumulated 136 points and an average 6k time of 25:07 en route to a fifth-place team finish in a field of five. This was SJU's second race in as many days, as additional Hawks raced the Penn State National Invitational on Friday morning.

Paced by a 6:38.2 mile average, Addario crossed the finish line in 24:44.80, good for 25th in the field of 46.

Senior Rose Barrett (28th, 24:57.88), sophomore Alexa Weber (30th, 25:04.55), junior Molly Jacobs (32nd, 25:08.74), and sophomore Carlee Lasko (38th, 25:41.60) rounded out the scoring for the Crimson and Gray.

Select Hawks will be named for the upcoming 2019 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championship, set for Saturday, November 2 at the Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Va. A complete race preview will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
