CHARLESTON, S.C. - Just days after the conclusion of the 2015 cross country season, the men’s program is already gearing up for next year, with one local prospect signing a National Letter of Intent to join The College.

Hayden DiBona, a native of the Lowcountry from Mt. Pleasant, will be wrapping up his high school career at Academic Magnet H.S. this summer. DiBona comes to the Cougars with impressive PRs in the distance events, including the 800m (2:00.28), 1600m (4:30.45), 3200m (10:05.23) and the 5000m (15:54.59). The biology major is a fierce competitor not only on the course, but also in the classroom, as he commands a 4.09 GPA.

“Hayden comes to us as a six-time individual state champion,” head coach Amy Seago said. “He’s a born competitor that knows how to win, and he’s going to be a leader for us in both practice and the classroom.”

The Cougars wrapped up their 2015 season with a 30th overall finish at the NCAA Southeast Regionals in Charlottesville, Va.
