CHARLESTON, S.C. – Rising senior Julisa Tindall received national acclaim for the College of Charleston track & field program this week, receiving All-Academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Tindall capped off another banner year for the Cougars by winning her second consecutive CAA High Jump crown with a leap of 1.76m. Along the way, she was also one of three Cougars to represent the College at the ECAC Track & Field Championships at the conclusion of the Indoor season, thanks to a 1.83m qualifying jump at the Bob Pollock Invitational.
She also branched out to the long jump, and smashed her personal best in the long jump with a distance of 5.62m, the third-best distance in CofC History.
When not wreaking havoc in the jumps, Tindall was a standout performer in the classroom, where the psychology major finished the semester with a 3.654 cumulative GPA.
