CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston will keep Patriots Point busy this weekend with both baseball and softball taking place, and festivities are slated to expand even further with the inclusion of a silent auction on Saturday.
Both the CofC baseball and softball teams will host games on April 23 in two important series against CAA competition. The baseball team will host James Madison at 2:30 p.m., while the softball squad will play a double-header against Towson, the first game of which begins at 2:00 p.m. During those contests, the silent auction will feature a wide medley of goods and services for fans to bid on from several of the premier local businesses around the Lowcountry
All proceeds that the auction manages to raise will go directly toward supporting the CofC track and field team, who finished first out of nine teams last Saturday at the Lowcountry Collegiate Invitational. The program has broken eight school records and counting thus far this season.
