CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston softball team wrapped up their regular season by winning nine of its final 10 games, and has secured the No. 3 seed in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.

The Cougars (33-21, 11-9) will now look forward to a first round matchup with No. 2 seeded Towson (35-15, 11-8) on Wednesday, May 11 at noon. For the third consecutive season, the tournament will be hosted by James Madison in Harrisonburg, Va., as it secured the top seed once again.

The CAA tournament will run from Tuesday, May 10 to Friday, May 13, and features the top five teams from conference play, with the tournament being run as a double-elimination style tournament. See the attached bracket for additional information regarding the schedule of events.

The Cougars took two of three from Towson earlier this season, but that game was played on Charleston’s home field, as opposed to a neutral site as will be the case in the tournament. The Cougars last made the CAA tournament in 2014.
