2016 (Sophomore)

-Set the CofC record for the most stolen bases in a single season with 27, breaking her own record of 26 set back in 2015.

-Named to the All-CAA Second Team

-Named to the NFCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team

-Honored with the Coaches Award by her teammates and coaches

-Only player to start all 58 games for Charleston in 2016

-Recorded the fifth-highest batting average (.378) in CofC history

-10th highest on-base percentage (.435)

-Tied for the sixth most runs scored (46), and tied for the third most hits in a season (73)

-Has recorded three triples, the last of which came on April 2 against Elon.

-Tied for the team-lead in multi-hit games with 21

-Maintained a streak of 14 consecutive games with a hit, the longest streak of any Cougar in 2016

 

2015 (Freshman)

- 45 Games/45 Starts

- Named First Team All-CAA Utility

- Named Second Team Mid-Atlantic All-Region Utility

- Named to the CAA All-Rookie Team

- Set the school record for most stolen bases in a single season (26)

- Recorded the 7th highest on-base percentage in school history (.437)

- Logged the 10th highest batting average in school history (.364)

- Led the Colonial Athletic Association in stolen bases

- Ranked 28th in the NCAA in stolen bases

-  Led the Cougars in batting average, on-base percentage, walks (18) and stolen bases despite missing eight games due to injury

-  Reached base safely in 16 straight games over Feb. 20-March 2

-  Ranked second on the team with 15 multi-hit performances

- Two three-hit games

- Scored multiple times in seven different games

- Named CAA Rookie of the Week for all games ending February 22

- The lefty leadoff batted 8-of-13 (.615 BA) including seven runs scored, three stolen bases, and four walks on the weekend

 

Before CofC:

-  Spent two years as a captain and four years as a starter for Greenbrier

- Was named the All-County, All-Region, and All-State Player of the Year as a junior

-  Broke the school record for highest batting average

- Helped her team advance to regionals two out of the four years she was with the team

-  Earned high academic honors while remaining involved in Beta Club, NHS and NSHS… also played basketball.

Personal: Daughter to Katie and Gregg and sister to Emily Johnston… enjoys family activities and being outdoors… interested in a career as a forensic pathologist or sports psychologist.
