CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women’s soccer team (0-2) sets out on the road for the first time of the season this weekend, when they will jet to the Lone Star state to face off with the Texas Longhorns and the Sam Houston State Bearkats.
UT will host both matches at the Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. The Cougars will draw the host school on Friday at 8:30 p.m. EST. followed by SHSU on Sunday at noon. The Bearkats are 1-2 on the season, having lost two straight against Alabama and UTSA. Texas meanwhile is 0-1 on the year after dropping a 1-0 loss to Seattle at home.
The College comes off a challenging opening weekend at home, where they faced off with Mississippi State and the LSU Lady Tigers, the latter of whom were receiving votes in the NSCAA national poll. In both instances, the Cougars’ SEC opponents got the edge.
The broadcast for both games will be made available on the WatchESPN app.
