Junior Laura Fuenfstueck (Langen, Germany) made her fourth Top-10 finish of the season at the Intercollegiate held at Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. It marked her second-highest finish of the year in nine starts for the Cougars. Fuenfstueck carded rounds of 70, 73 and 74 to finish tied for fifth at the tournament at 1-over par. Her previous season-best finish was a runner-up finish at the Palmetto Intercollegiate in the fall. She was the second best in the tournament in pars made (41).

Junior William Rainey (Charlotte, N.C.) led the College of Charleston men’s golf team to a runner-up finish at The Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate at Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, S.C. Eight Top 50-ranked schools and 11 Top 100-ranked players comprised the 15-team tournament field. The Cougars, playing the season and tournament in memory of their late teammate Jackson Moore, carded rounds of 290-281-285–856 (-8) to hold off No. 8-ranked Auburn (-3) and finish second behind No. 16 South Carolina (-23). It marked the team’s sixth Top-5 finish of the season in nine tournaments played. Rainey earned individual runner-up honors with rounds of 73, 67 and 71 to finish the tournament at 5-under par. His second-round 67 was a career low as he led the field in par-4 scoring (3.83).
