PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – College of Charleston junior Laura Fuenfstueck (Langen, Germany) made her fourth Top-10 finish of the season at the Web.com Intercollegiate held at the Marsh Landing Country Club.
It marked her second-highest finish of the year in nine starts for the Cougars over the fall and spring. Fuenfstueck carded rounds of 70-73-74—217 (+1) which tied for fifth. Her previous best finish was individual runner-up at the Palmetto Intercollegiate in the fall. She was second best in the tournament in pars made (41).
“Congrats to Laura on another great tournament,” CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. “The team showed a lot of heart today, despite tough conditions and not having their best games. We have a good bit of work to do before conference, but I really liked our competitiveness today.”
The Cougars tied Cincinnati for eighth on the team leaderboard with rounds of 299-296-305—900 (+36). Middle Tennessee State won the team title with a three-round score of 873 (+9) and Campbell was runner-up (+10). Nadine White of Campbell claimed individual medalist honors shooting 4-under par for the tournament.
The Cougars close out regular-season tournament play at the Web.com Intercollegiate and will prep for the upcoming CAA Women’s Golf Championship to be held on April 15-17 at St. James Plantation in Southport, N.C.
