2013-14 - PROVOST'S AWARD WINNER Was the surprise of February after an incredible performance at the Cavalier Invitational ... Won both the 100 breast and the 200 breast at the event, both with NCAA-qualifying times ... Broke the freshman record in the 100 breast with his time of 55.11 seconds ... In the 200 breast, broke the all-time Tribe record in both prelims and finals, taking the mark down to 1:58.08 ... Was named the CAA Swimmer of the Week for the performance ... All three of his wins on the season came from the Cavalier Invitational ... At the Hokie Fall Invitational, finished 10th overall in the 200 breast ... Also took 16th in the 100 breast and in the 400 IM ... Earned five runner-up finishes in his first six collegiate races. Prep Scholastic All-American ... Qualified for the summer Junior Nationals in both breaststrokes, placing 21st in the 200m breast at the 2012 championships ... Also qualified for winter Junior Nationals in the 200 breast ... Swam just one year on Barrington’s prep squad, earning all-state honors in the 100 breast and the 200 IM as a sophomore ...
