The William & Mary women's cross country team moved to No. 23 in the national rankings, tied with Minnesota after a quiet weekend at Princeton.  New Mexico remained the unanimous No. 1 pick in the nation, ahead of a a weekend with no notable meets.  This is the 25th consecutive week in the rankings for the Green and Gold.

The Tribe finished sixth at the Princeton Inter-Regional with several members of the team making their effective debuts, a situation that was recognized by the voters this week.  W&M was not without stand-out performances, with Regan Rome (Dallas, Pa.) and Emily Stites (Wyoming, Ohio) finishing first and second in the 6K race, and Meghan McGovern (North Wales, Pa.) taking 15th overall.  W&M also moved down one spot in the regional rankings, to No. 4, after North Carolina finished ahead in the team standings at Princeton.

Like the rest of the nation, W&M has this weekend off, but will return to racing next Friday, Oct. 16.  The Tribe will compete at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, alongside 2/3 of the national top-30.
