WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary head women’s basketball coach Ed Swanson announced the 2015-16 non-conference schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The slate is highlighted by three teams that qualified for the 2015 postseason and five home games.

The Tribe kicks off the regular season with three of the first four games of the season on the road. W&M heads to Mount St. Mary’s on November 13. After returning home, the Green and Gold then heads to Richmond, which advanced to the Second Round of the WNIT, (Nov. 20) and Loyola (Md.) (Nov. 23).

W&M plays a pair home games in the month November. The 2015 home opener is slated for Monday, Nov. 16 when the Tribe welcomes Grambling to Kaplan Arena. The College also closes the month of November at home when the play American, which qualified for the NCAA Tournament and won the Patriot League, on Nov. 25. The American game will be part of a women's and men's basketball doubleheader as the Tribe men take on Hampton in the night cap.

December starts out with three games in five days. The Tribe heads to Delaware State on Dec. 1, before heading back home on Dec. 3 to play Wofford. The stretch concludes as the Tribe travels to Atlantic Coast Conference foe Clemson on Dec. 5.

After a 12-day layoff for exams, the Tribe returns to action to close out non-conference against three local teams. The Tribe hosts Norfolk State (Dec. 17) and Old Dominion, which was a Second Round WNIT,  (Dec. 29), sandwiched around a trip to VCU (Dec. 21). The non-conference finale against Old Dominion is also a women's and men's doubleheader. This time the Tribe men play Central Michigan in the second game.

Earlier this month the Colonial Athletic Association released its 2016 schedule. The league schedule will be a true round robin with each school playing each other twice. The Tribe opens CAA play with two-time defending champion James Madison at Kaplan Arena on Sunday, Jan. 3.

Once again, the 2016 CAA Women’s Basketball Championship will take place at the Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The event will be held from March 9-12.

The women’s basketball program enjoyed a seven-game turnaround, and won 15-games in the 2014-15 season. The Tribe also appeared in its first-ever Division I postseason tournament, making an appearance in the Women’s Basketball Invitational. W&M also welcomes back four starters from last year's roster, including All-CAA Third-Team selection junior Marlena Tremba.
