SOPHOMORE YEAR / 2015
Made seven appearances all in relief for the Tribe during his sophomore season … Didn’t allow an earned run in 11.2 innings, while scattering five hits and whiffing 11 batters … Boasted a 1-0 record, while holding opposing hitters to a .125 batting average against … Made his season debut tossing an inning of scoreless relief against Kennesaw State, striking out one … Tossed an 1.1 innings of relief allowing a hit and a strikeout against Elon … Pitched around a hit and three walks and a scoreless 1.1 inning outing against Old Dominion (4/1) … Allowed an unearned run on two hits, but recorded a strikeout at Longwood (4/8) … Tossed a perfect inning of relief at Delaware (4/26) … Went a career-long 2.2 innings without allowing a hit, while fanning a career-high seven against Northeastern (5/10) … Logged 2.1 innings and picked up his first career win his final appearance of the season at George Washington (5/14).

FRESHMAN YEAR / 2014
Made 12 appearances all in relief for the Tribe in 2014 … Finished the season with an 0-1 record and a 4.11 ERA … Pitched 15.1 innings, allowing 14 hits, nine runs (seven earned), with nine strikeouts … Made his collegiate debut against UMBC (3/1) pitching a scoreless inning with a strikeout … Tossed two innings scattering three hits and an unearned run against Radford (3/11) … Pitched a scoreless inning of relief against Brown (3/22) … Struck out two batters in a scoreless inning of relief against UNCW (4/4) … Pitched a scoreless inning of relief at James Madison (4/13) … Allowed just one hit in a scoreless inning of relief at Gardner Webb (5/10).

HIGH SCHOOL
Played three-seasons of varsity baseball at Yorktown High School… Was a three-year all-district selection (2010-12)… Was a two-time Pitcher of the Year (2011-12)... Earned All-Met Honorable mention honors in 2011-12… Named the Arlington Sports Club Baseball Sportsman of the Year… Voted as a team co-captain… Finished his high school career with more than 200 strikeouts, a 2.56 ERA, and threw 13 complete games. Also played two-seasons of varsity football at Yorktown… Was named to the second-team all-district squad as an outside linebacker… Co-captain of the football team as well… Was the student body president in high school… Was a member of the National Honor Society and a Virginia Boys State alum… Has completed two marathons in his lifetime the Richmond Marathon (2010) and the Marine Corps Marathon (2012).

PERSONAL
Son of Jack and Charmaine Yoest… His sister, Hannah, is a member of the ACC Championship Virginia rowing team and is also on the USA Junior National rowing team… Major is undecided at William and Mary… Enjoys playing the guitar, piano, and umpiring in his spare time.
