 Mitchell Campbell

Campbell is well-grounded and has a very analytical approach to gymnastics that combines quite nicely with his solid work ethic … These characteristics will ensure that he has a steep learning curve both in and out of the gym throughout his years at William and Mary … While Campbell develops in the all-around, he will initially push for a starting position on his best event, the high bar, and could also see some action on the parallel bars … Campbell is unassuming both in and out of the gym and anticipates majoring in mathematics … All in all, he fits in quite well with the Tribe gymnasts who are the defending national academic team champions for men’s gymnastics … He was coached by  Eric Marburger and Reed Crowe at Crenshaw’s Athletic Club and is the son of Oliver and Midori Campbell.

2015 Highlights
Competed primarily with the vault and high bar lineups … Posted a season-high 13.8 on vault at the State Open … Recorded a season-beset 13.35 on high bar at the Navy Open … Earned W&M’s Provost Award … ECAC All-Academic Team honoree … College Gymnastics Association first-team Academic All-American Scholar-Athlete ...
