 Mat Turnansky

During his first year at William and Mary, Mat was a participant in the Research Experience for Undergraduates sponsored by the National Science Foundation and now has a paper pending on semi-positive matrices…In addition, he is a designated Monroe Scholar at William and Mary who received a Provost Award for academic excellence while also earning first team All-American Scholar-Athlete honors from the College Gymnastics Association…Rings will be Mat’s best event as he learns to coalesce his strength and swing sequences into a solid routine…He is also showing good improvement on floor exercise and parallel bars…Brock Anstine was his coach at the Southwest Training Center…In addition to being fun to be around, Mat ranks right up there with the most intelligent gymnasts that we have ever had in the gym…He is the son of Stuart and Susan Turnansky.
