Simon Casey

Simon worked his way up to ninth place in the William and Mary all-time records on floor exercise with his powerful tumbling and excellent twisting ability ... He is also a viable part of the pommel horse squad that could well leave its mark as one of the very best in the history of Tribe gymnastics ... In addition, Simon is coming on strong in vaulting as he hones in on a double twisting Tsukahara while also working on a handspring double front…Simon is a good to have around in pressure packed situations as he has a natural composure and perspective that seems to have a calming effect on his teammates…In Junior Olympic competition, he was coach by Gregg Rogers at HCL Gymnastics Express…Simon is a kinesiology and health science major and the son of Jerry and Donna Casey.

Competed primarily with the floor and pommel horse lineups … Recorded a season-high 14.05 on floor at the Navy Open … Posted a career-best 14.15 on pommel horse at Army …

Competed on pommel horse in three meets and posted a season-high 14.1 against Navy on March 2 … Also competed on floor versus Brockport …

Posted a 14.6 on floor at Navy on March 9 … The total ranked eighth in school history.
