 Nick Van Dyke

Everybody who hasn’t been around Nick on a daily basis is going to be asking, “where did this guy come from” when they see him competing this season as his hard work and dedication to strength development has resulted in a complete physical transformation ... Nick’s strength combinations on the rings and handspring double front on vaulting will have significant impact on those squads ... He could also find himself in the mix on floor exercise with a routine that revolves around his power tumbling ... One constant in Nick’s workout presence is the energizing effect that he has on the gym and everybody in it as soon as he walks through the door…Nick is an economics major who is particularly interested in global applications…In Junior Olympic competition, Nick was coached by Dmitry Gavriluk and Oleg Bezrodniy at Top Flight Gymnastics…Nick is the son of Bob Van Dyke and Karin DeFrancis.

Competed as a member of the vault lineup during the final six meets … Earned All-ECAC honors in the event after tying for fifth with a 14.3 … Competed as an individual qualifier on vault at the NCAA Championships … Posted a career-high 14.65 in the event in back-to-back meets (at Army, vs. Navy) …
