Western Michigan to Host Week Two of the ITA Summer Circuit

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan University will be one of eight sites to host week two of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Summer Circuit in Kalamazoo, Mich. from July 1 to July 3.

“This circuit is a great event for future college players, current college players and retired college players to get out and get match play,” WMU Women’s Tennis head coach Ryan Tomlinson said. “We are excited and honored to once again be hosting one of the tournaments this summer.”

All matches will be played at Sorensen Outdoor Tennis Courts (Weather permitting) and will start at 8 a.m. on each day. For questions regarding any additional information please contact WMU Women’s Tennis Head Coach Ryan Tomlinson at

The ITA Summer Circuit allows any player to participate, but the field will mostly consist of college tennis players with about 150 expected to be playing. Several players from WMU will be competing, including seniors Tracy Kuhle and Barbare Eristavi, junior Olivia Myers and sophomore Denise Azcui of the WMU women’s tennis team along with senior Matt Hamilton and sophomore Nick Schnobel of the WMU men’s tennis team.

Other sites for week two of the ITA Summer Circuit include Cal State-Northridge, Elon, Georgia, Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.), Kansas State, Pacific and Texas at Tyler.
