Wilcoxson Receives Sponsor's Exemption to Play in The Four Winds Invitational
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Western Michigan golfer Anna Wilcoxson now has an opportunity to play as an amateur in her home town of South Bend, Ind., after earning a sponsor’s exemption to play in the Symetra Tour's The Four Winds Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Club June 19-21.
The Symetra Tour was previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour and is the official developmental golf tour for the LPGA.
"Well it is quite an honor getting to play with the World's best," Wilcoxson said. "It's such an amazing opportunity and I am so grateful for the chance to compete at that level. I am very excited to see what the future has in store."
Wilcoxson already got her off-season off to a good start after earning one of two qualifier spots for the LPGA Local Qualify Tournament at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ann Arbor. She shot an even-par 72 to earn the top spot.
