Rising senior Javier Garrapiz – who led the Bulldogs with a career-high 33 wins on the season – finished ranked No. 18 in singles. Garrapiz was a perfect 5-0 in the team portion of the 2010 NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Round of 32 as an individual.
Nate Schnugg finished his Bulldog career with a final singles ranking of No. 71, going 24-16 on the season and 10-3 at No. 2. Rising senior Drake Bernstein was tabbed No. 105 in this week’s poll after a 32-13 campaign and a 15-5 clip when playing No. 4 for the Bulldogs.
Georgia also saw two doubles teams ranked, with the pair of Garrapiz and Schnugg ranked No. 12, and Schnugg and Jamie Hunt coming in at No. 37. Garrapiz and Schnugg were 7-2 on the year after beginning to play together on April 11 vs. Florida. Hunt and Schnugg were 17-9 in their fourth season as a doubles team.
The Bulldogs were ranked No. 11 in the final team rankings after a 21-8 campaign and a trip to the NCAA semifinals in Athens.
