|Position:||Associate Head Coach|
Associate Head Coach Clint Letcher is entering his seventh year coaching the Sun Devils’ Women’s Tennis Team for the 2014-2015 season. During his tenure at Arizona State, he has coached four players to eight All-American Honors and had 12 All-Pac-12 Honors awarded to his players. In each of his seasons, there has been at least one Sun Devil ranked in the top 50 singles year-end ranking. In addition, Arizona State has had 62 wins against ranked teams since Letcher began in 2008.
Letcher was promoted from Assistant Head Coach to Associate Head Coach prior to the 2013-2014 season. “It is a well-deserved promotion for Clint as he is entering his sixth year with our program and has been instrumental in our continued success both on the court and in the classroom,” Head Coach Sheila McInerney commented. “I have been very fortunate to work with Clint these past five years and feel confident that he represents Arizona State University and our women’s tennis program in all the right ways. He is an outstanding individual and his tennis knowledge is exceptional.”
Letcher, a former Sun Devil Men’s Tennis student-athlete, repeatedly posted winning records in both singles and doubles. During his senior season, he rotated between No. 1, 2, 3, and 4 singles positions, while posting 13 singles and 12 doubles victories. Prior to his time at ASU, Letcher played in two Junior Grand Slam Juniors at the Australian Open and at Wimbledon, where he was a quarterfinalist in junior doubles.
Letcher comes from an extremely talented tennis family: both of his parents are former tennis pros, and his sister and brother have numerous tennis accolades to their names. In addition, his younger brother Chris was his teammate on the Arizona State Men's Tennis team.
