
American Round Robin Next for VMI Wrestling
LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team heads to Washington, D.C. this Saturday to compete in the three-team American University Round Robin at 10 a.m. The third team in the competition will be the University of Maryland.

No team scores will be recorded, and each wrestler is guaranteed at least three matches on the day.
VMI opened 2019-20 season Sunday at the Southeast Open, and red-shirt senior Neal Richards finished in fifth place in the Open bracket at 174 pounds. Red-shirt senior Dom Gallo won a pair of matches at 141.
A number of young Keydets had good performances in the freshmen/sophomore competition. Zach Brown won the title at 197 defeating his opponent in the finals via major decision. He earned three victories en route to the crown. Will Lawrence won twice by sudden victory at 157 and took third. Job Chishko won five-straight matches at 149, two by fall, one by technical fall and one by major decision, to finish fifth.
