Scouting the Field
In addition to W&M and host Akron, 14 more teams will compete this week, including Ball State, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Francis Marion, Georgetown, Illinois State, Maryland, Ohio, Old Dominion, USC-Aiken, Toledo, Valparaiso, Western Kentucky, and Xavier.  This is one of three automotive-tire themed events for W&M in the last two years, along with last fall's Bridgestone Intercollegiate, and next spring's Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Ariz.

Scouting the Tribe
W&M's line-up this week will likely include three newcomers to go with juniors Austin Morrison (Charlotte, N.C.) and Davis Morrison (Charlotte, N.C.).  Austin is averaging 74.0 strokes per round with a top-10 finish at Air Force and a pair of rounds at par or better, while Davis has a 74.78 average and one round at or under par.  Freshman David Hicks (Cape May Court House, N.J.) led W&M at last week's Badger Intercollegiate with an eighth-place finish, and also has a team-best 73.0 average and four rounds of par or better this year.  Classmate Will Stewart (Charlotte, N.C.) is just a tick behind with a 73.33 average and a top-10 finish at Notre Dame.  Sophomore transfer Sam Aronoff (Santa Monica, Calif.) played very well in his season debut last week at Wisconsin, and is averaging 74.67 strokes per round.
