Women's Tennis Takes on Lafayette in Patriot League First Round
WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women’s tennis team will face Lafayette in the first round of the Patriot League tournament this Thursday, April 25 at 3 p.m. in Lewisburg, Pa.
The Crusaders enter the tournament as the nine seed and will take on the eighth-seeded Leopards. The winner of the match will advance to play top overall seed Boston University in Friday’s quarterfinal.
In the meeting earlier this season between the two sides, Lafayette came away with a 5-0 victory. Jennifer Kary and Caroline Kam had each forced a third set in their No. 5 and 6 singles matches respectively, but neither finished as the overall team result had already been decided.
Holy Cross will look for its first postseason victory since 2016 when it defeated Lafayette, 4-2, in the first round.
