Glover, Estevarena Named Harris Teeter Student-Athletes of the Week

RoShani Glover made school history for the third time this season Saturday at the Lowcountry Collegiate Invitational, toppling the CofC outdoor triple jump record with a distance of 12.32m. The previous mark of 12.21m by Jelain McArthur had stood for six years. Glover's jump handily won the event, and she would go on to claim second in the long jump with a personal best distance of 5.67m. Glover scored 18 points for the Cougars, who won the day with a team score of 225.5. The senior currently leads the CAA in the TJ with a 43cm lead on second place while also ranking sixth in the long jump.

Juan Estevarena led the Cougars to victory on Senior Day against Charlotte over the weekend, securing the fourth and deciding point in top flight singles against Vikram Hundal by a score of 1-6, 7-5, 6-2. Hundal was a punishing 12-4 in top-flight singles before Estevarena handed him his fifth loss of the year. The native of Argentina is now 15-5 in both singles and doubles play this year heading into the CAA Tournament.
