Cougarettes, Cheerleaders Host Spirit Day

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston dance team, the Cougarettes, along with the CofC cheerleaders will host Spirit Day on Saturday, Dec. 21 in conjunction with the Cougar men’s and women's basketball games.

The event will provide young spirit-squad enthusiasts with a skills clinic offered by members and coaches of the College of Charleston’s spirit squads, followed by the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of fans at halftime of the basketball game.

The women's basketball team takes on South Florida at 12 p.m. followed by the men's team challenging Kent State at 3 p.m. Clinic participants will have the opportunity to perform at both games. 

To register, complete the attached form and return it, along with payment, to CofC Sports Marketing no later than Dec. 6. Prices for participants include the clinic, a shirt, admission to the basketball games and a voucher for food during the game.

On the day of the clinic, registration will begin at 11 a.m. with the clinic running from noon until 2 p.m. Tipoff for CofC basketball game against Kent State is slated for 3 p.m.
