Kevin Purvis joined the Athletic Association staff in August of 2006 as the Assistant Equipment Manager for the Bulldogs football team. Purvis’s main responsibilities center around ordering and accounting for the Bulldogs football equipment, while also assisting the Football Equipment Manager with directing practice and game-day equipment efforts for the team.

Prior to coming to UGA, Purvis was the Football Equipment Manager for Valdosta State University from 2001 until August of 2006. During his time at Valdosta, Purvis was part of the 2002 national runner-up and the 2004 National Championship teams. He started his equipment managing career in 2000 at The University of West Georgia where he was the Football Equipment Manager for the Braves.

A native of Ocilla, GA., Purvis is an active member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) and is a Certified Athletic Equipment Manager from the group.  He is currently serving as Membership Chairman for District III of the AEMA.
