*A First Round Draft pick of the Seattle Mariners, 20th overall
*Named the 2008 Stopper of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association
*Named 1st Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger and 2nd Team All-American by Baseball America and the ABCA, Also All-South Region by the ABCA
