2008-2009 (Senior Season) • Won national championship in the 200 breaststroke, swimming the fastest time in history in the event in 1:51.40 at the NCAA Championships. • Earned two All-America honors, including a first-place in the 200 breaststroke and an eighth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke, at the NCAAs. • Earned Honorable Mention All-America honors with Georgia’s 400 medley relay, which finished ninth, and its 200 medley relay, which finished 16th, at NCAAs. Was named First Team All-SEC after winning two events, the 100 and 200 breaststroke, at the 2009 SEC Championships. • Swam the breaststroke leg on the second-place 400 medley relay and fourth-place 200 medley relay teams at the 2009 SEC Championships that set school records. • Finished 16th in the 200 individual medley at the 2009 SEC Championships. • Holds school records in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. • Named SEC Male Swimmer of the Week twice, following the Texas/SMU meets and Alabama/South Carolina meets. • Received the Morton S. Hodgson, Jr. Men’s Swimming and Diving Scholarship. 2007-2008 (Redshirt Season) • Chosen as the recipient of the Morton S. Hodgson Jr. Men’s Swimming and Diving Endowed Scholarship. • Redshirted and did not compete. 2006-2007 (Junior Season) • Placed fourth in the 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Championship, setting the school record of 1:54.54. • Finished 31st in the 100 breaststroke at the NCAAs with the seventh-best time in school history. • Swam on the 400 medley relay team that placed 17th at the NCAAs. • Earned one All-America citation. • At the SEC Championship, took sixth in the 200 breast and 10th in the 100 breast. 2005-2006 (Sophomore Season) • Competed at the NCAAs, placing ninth in the 200 breast and 30th in the 100 breast. • Finished third in the 200 breast and 13th in the 100 breast at the SECs. • At the SECs, was a member of the 400 medley relay that placed fourth. International • Placed ninth in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the 200 breaststroke for South Africa. • Placed first in the 200 breast at the 2007 USA Spring Nationals and won the Performance of the Meet Award. • Placed fourth in the 200 breast at the 2007 USA Swimming National Championships. • Was sixth in the 200m breast at the 2007 Japan International Meet. • Competed for South Africa in the 2006 Commonwealth Games, finishing sixth in the 200m breast and 16th in the 100m breast. • Placed fifth at the World University Games in 2005 in the 200m breast representing South Africa.
