Community Relations Program
Broncos in the Community
The Broncos take part in numerous community service projects each year. These projects help our student-athletes have a more complete experience at Western Michigan University. They also give the Broncos a chance to meet the people of West Michigan.

The Broncos are involved in such things as Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, as well as numerous organizations around the Kalamazoo community.

Care About Kids Program
Event Calendar
Western Michigan University’s Care About Kids program provides a unique opportunity for underprivileged and at-risk youth of our communities to attend Bronco athletic events that they might not otherwise be able to attend.

Private donations are used to purchase tickets to sporting events at WMU, including football, volleyball, hockey, and men & women’s basketball. In addition, special events are planned throughout the year such as clinics, autograph sessions with the teams, and pizza parties.

Tickets are given to youth agencies in surrounding communities that register with the Community Relations office. These agencies provide adult supervision for the youth that visit the Western Michigan campus.
