Men's tennis falls at UConn, 4-1

STORRS, Conn. – The Holy Cross men’s tennis team fell to UConn, 4-1, Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Declan O'Flynn earned the Crusaders’ only point on the day, winning his No. 6 singles match, 6-3, 6-0.
- O’Flynn and Connor Nelson also won their No. 3 doubles match, 6-5, but with the Huskies winning both the first and second doubles slots, it didn’t earn the team a point.
- Alexander Ruenhorst and Robert Hagan were both leading in their No. 4 and No. 5 singles matches respectively, but with the team result already decided, those matches were not finished.
- UConn earned the team victory by taking the doubles point, as a well as three singles points from first, second, and third singles.
Holy Cross will take on Franklin Pierce at home next Sunday, Oct. 20, at 12:05 p.m.
