Men's Track and Field Places 28 on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
Twenty-eight members of the Holy Cross men’s track and field team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for Winter/Spring 2018-2019, the conference announced on Friday, June 21.
Senior Christopher Puntasecca (chemistry/classics) and freshman Andrew Corbett (undeclared) both recorded perfect 4.0 grade point average during the Spring 2019 semester. Puntasecca is a four-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, with a 4.0 GPA each semester.
Seniors Liam Campbell, Ryan Clark, Myles Connor, Andrew Delzotto, Alexander Escada, William Hoffmann, Joseph Prunty, Matthew Silas and Michael Tafaro earned honor roll selections. Campbell, Clark, Connor, Delzotto, Prunty and Tafaro are all four-time selections for track and field, while Escada, Hoffmann and Silas have all earned multiple selections.
Garrett Fortin, Freddie Halloran, Chris Shakespeare, Jackson Skelley and Bobby Tuzzio represented the junior class on the honor roll. Sophomores Joe Doerr, Hayden Ivatts, Jake Mastrandrea, Peter Mitchell, Michael Pichay and Nick Techiera also earned selections.
A total of 222 men's track and field student-athletes were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a GPA of 3.2 or higher during the spring semester.
