GREENSBORO, N.C. – Former UNC Greensboro men’s golf letter winner Nathan Stamey secured his spot on the Korn Ferry Tour, the developmental tour for the PGA Tour, after shooting a 3-under par at Q-School this past weekend in Winter Garden, Florida. Stamey was a two-time All-Southern Conference selection during his time at UNCG and earned an individual spot in the 2008 NCAA Regionals. He has competed on the PGA Tour in the Wyndham Championship as well as the Wells Fargo Championship and has also spent time on the Canadian PGA Tour.
Since 2013, the Korn Ferry Tour has been the primary pathway for those seeking to earn their PGA Tour card. The top-25 on the Korn Ferry Tour money list at the end of the year are given PGA Tour memberships for the next season.
