GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro softball head coach Janelle Breneman announced three National Letter of Intent signings on Wednesday. Brooklyn Maxwell, Victoria Dalehite and Anna White will join the Spartans for the 2020-21 academic year.

Maxwell currently attends Kellam (Va.) High School in Virginia Beach, where she has set school records including being named Offensive Player of the Year three times. The shortstop last year was tabbed an All-State selection while earning All-Region and All-Hampton Roads honors every year of her time in high school to date. Additionally, she was named an All-Conference selection during her freshman year.

Her Black Knights claimed the 2017 conference title before finishing third in the Virginia state tournament. This past season, Maxwell helped lead her team to a Regional Championship. She is also a three-time honor roll selection.

She is the daughter of Trace and Heather Maxwell and has two brothers: Austin and Beau.

“She is a competitive and highly talented player that will strengthen us up the middle,” Breneman said. “Brooklynn’s foot speed allows her to be a tough out, she possess power and has tremendous range in the dirt.”

Dalehite will join UNCG after attending Cedar Ridge (N.C.) High School in Mebane. Coached by Allen Byrd, Dalehite during her time at Cedar Ridge so far has been named Big 8 Conference Player of the Year while also earning All-State and All-Region honors each of the last two years.

Over these last two years, she has also helped lead the Red Wolves to back-to-back Big 8 titles while her team has advanced to the third round of the North Carolina state championship.

Along with playing softball at Cedar Ridge, she is also a member of the volleyball and basketball teams.

She is the daughter of Danny and Beth Simmons-Dalehite and has one brother, Landon.

“Tori is an offensive threat that will bring power from the left side to our lineup,” Breneman said. “Her defensive versatility makes her an asset in the outfield or in the infield.”

White currently attends Marist (Ga.) High School in Atlanta where she has been a full-time starter for the War Eagles. During her freshman season, she saw action in left field along with third base and shortstop.

During her sophomore and junior seasons, she remained in the infield where she earned first-team All-Region recognition. In 2017 as a sophomore, she earned the team’s Most Improved Offensive Player award. She capped off her junior season with second-team all-state honors as Marist advance to the Sweet 16 of the Georgia state tournament.

She is a three-time honor roll selection and the daughter of Chad and Melissa White. She has two brothers, Zachary and Jacob.

“Anna is a stellar player that has the ability to play several positions in the infield,” Breneman said. “She will fit in with our powerful offense and has power to all fields.”
