NEW YORK -- Kristen Vick and Ilse Westera both picked up weekly honors from the Big East on Monday, as announced by the conference office. Vick was named Defensive Player of the Week, while Westera was named Freshman of the Week.

Vick and Westera both played key roles in Old Dominion's 2-0 weekend that featured a 4-3 overtime win over No. 22 William & Mary and 3-0 victory over No. 17 James Madison.

Vick, a redshirt senior back, scored her first career goal in the win over JMU, while also helping the team post its third shutout of the season.

Westera, a freshman midfielder, accounted for seven points on three goals and one assist on the weekend. The Netherlands native scored two goals in the win over William & Mary and then recorded a goal, the game-winner, and an assist against the Dukes.
