John Seketa
Position: Assistant AD/Promotions
John Seketa and his staff of student workers are responsible for the atmosphere at Clemson sporting events. This involves the coordination of some 120 events during the course of a year. He also oversees all appearances of the Clemson mascots.

Now in his 25th year, Seketa is also involved in the promotion and management of home NCAA and ACC Tournaments at Clemson. He has worked 52 NCAA Championships, 13 ACC Championships, four National Invitation Tournaments, and three South Carolina High School Football title games. In 2004, he was the recipient of the ACC Basketball Officials Association Fred Barakat Award for outstanding service and dedication to the ACC and its basketball officials.

Prior to arriving in Clemson, Seketa was the promotions director at Eastern Illinois University where he promoted all sports. In 1985, he stages a Make-Believe TV Football Game between Eastern Illinois and Western Illinois with ESPN, which was cited in the New York Times.

Seketa is a 1981 graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. After receiving his Bachelor's degree in business administration, his work in athletics began at Western Illinois, where he attended graduate school followed by an internship at the University of Illinois.
