Texas A&M Launches Redesigned AggieAthletics.com
Going beyond the traditional athletics website functionality of providing news releases, game recaps, and basic information about the Athletics Department, the new AggieAthletics.com will interact with the 12th Man and provide exclusive insight and content for all 20 intercollegiate Texas A&M sports.
“It’s an exciting time for Aggie Athletics,” said Erik Pulverenti, Director of New Media for Texas A&M Athletics. “The launch of our new website is the product of a lot of hard work between NeuLion and our internal staff. Alyssa Powell and Jonathan Lee deserve a lot of credit for doing an outstanding job as our key project managers at A&M. I’d also like to thank the NeuLion development team. They worked day and night with our staff.”
“We will continue to grow our web presence over time. What you see right now is just the beginning. The goal is to put Texas A&M on a unique digital platform that will allow us to deliver quality content to our fans.”
Among the new and enhanced features on AggieAthletics.com:
• Improved design
• Better video delivery to Texas A&M fans
• Feature articles from 12th Man Magazine staff
• Deeper social media integration
• 12thManTV video portal
• Exclusive on-demand and live video content
Formerly known as Aggies All-Access, 12thManTV will work in conjunction with 12th Man Productions to serve as the official online video portal for Texas A&M Athletics.
12thManTV will feature live video broadcasts of nearly all Texas A&M home athletic events. Beginning this fall, 12thManTV will host live, interactive shows throughout each season featuring Aggie coaches, players, and staff.
In addition to live broadcasts, 12thManTV will be home to a vast video library. The digital archive will be an ongoing project that will be continually updated with full Texas A&M game videos and highlights dating back to the 1930s.
The redesign of AggieAthletics.com kicks off a multi-year partnership between the Texas A&M Athletics Department and NeuLion.
“NeuLion is excited to welcome a first class program like Texas A&M to our college network,” noted Ed O’Brien, Vice President, NeuLion College. “We align ourselves with athletic departments that are cutting edge and looking to expand their digital initiatives, it was apparent from our first meeting that A&M was this type of program.”
