Media credentials should be requested via e-mail at least one week in advance of game and will be mailed if time permits. Otherwise, credentials can be picked up at the Media Will Call at the base of the middle elevator shaft on the press box side of Kyle Field on game day. Media Will Call opens four hours prior to game time. The Kyle Field press box seats approximately 120 working media members. Media seating is limited, so credentials will be issued according to the following protocol:
- Local newspapers, wire services, national publications and newspapers regularly covering the opponent.
- Other daily newspapers with a preference to those covering A&M on a regular basis.
- Radio and television personnel reporting but not broadcasting.
- Scouts from professional teams.
- Non-daily publications with a preference to those covering A&M on a regular basis.
- Magazines and newsletters focusing primarily on one team with a preference to those covering A&M on a regular basis.
Photo credentials should be requested in the same manner as regular media credentials. Photo vests are required for admittance to the field and can be picked in the press box (level 9). All photographers should register with the Frequency Coordinator in the press box. Camera persons must stay out of the team area on both sidelines or they will be escorted from the stadium. Photographers are required to kneel in the north end zone area and occasionally on the sidelines when auxiliary seating is present. Photo credentials will be issued according to the following protocol:
- Local newspapers, wire services, national publications, local television stations and newspapers and television stations regularly covering the opponent.
- Other daily newspapers and television stations with preference to those covering A&M on a regular basis.
- Non-daily newspapers and other publications with a preference to those covering A&M on a regular basis.
Parking passes must be requested at least one week in advance of the game and will be mailed if time permits. Requested parking passes may also be picked up at the Athletic Media Relations office in Kyle Field prior to gameday. Limited parking is available for media members in Lot G, located west of Kyle Field between the Student Rec Center and the West Campus parking garage. Permit is required.
To reach the press box, media members must enter through the gate at the base of the west side of Kyle Field. The radio/TV level is located on the eighth floor, while the print level is on the ninth floor. Photographers, after claiming a photo vest on the ninth level, can reenter Kyle Field with a credential through Gate 10 (northwest corner of Kyle Field). A photo work room, with 10 high-speed internet connection points, is located adjacent to the northwest tunnel in the Burkhart Auditorium.
Play-by-play, halftime and complete team and individual statistics will be provided, along with postgame quotes and notes. In addition, a postgame fax service is available at no charge. Game notes and quotes will be posted on Texas A&M's official website promptly after the conclusion of the game (AggieAthletics.com).
Internet access is available in the ninth level press box. Access to the wireless internet requires completion of a Network Access Request Form, which can be obtained from a member of the TAMU media relations staff.
Numerous phone lines and phone instruments are available, but media members wishing to order their own lines should contact Verizon (979-845-HELP). To use existing lines, dial 9-0-area code-number. For toll free numbers, dial 9-800-number (do not dial "1"). Only collect, toll free and credit card calls are accepted.
Complimentary pregame meals will be served via a voucher which can be used at any concession stand or for a box sandwich lunch in the press box. Bottled water, soft drinks and coffee will be available in the press box.
At home games, postgame interviews with A&M players and coaches are conducted in a specially equipped interview room located in the Bright Football Complex (Hagner Auditorium). At road games, interviews are conducted outside the A&M locker room. The A&M locker room is closed to all media members for all games. Interview requests will be taken late in the game and every effort will be made to ensure that requested players are available.
Coach Kevin Sumlin conducts a weekly press conference every game week (date/time TBA) at the Bright Football Complex. Player requests should be made to the SID office on Sundays prior to the evening practice. Unless class schedules present a conflict, requested players also will be available during this time. This is the preferred time for all interviews to occur.
ALL interviews must be requested with a minimum 24-hour notice. For best results, interviews should be conducted on Mondays.
Outlets wishing to bring satellite and microwave news units to Kyle Field must contact the SID office prior to Wednesday of game week to assure adequate parking space is available near the stadium. Parking for the units is on the south end of the stadium, adjacent to the Netum Steed weight room and the McFerrin Athletic Complex.
All practices are closed to the public, and only the first 30 minutes of the workout will be open for members of accredited media outlets. Media members wishing to attend the beginning of practice should contact the SID office for exact starting times and location.
