Cedar Falls, Iowa - Five former University of Northern Iowa athletes and one administrator will be inducted into the 2007 UNI Athletics Hall of Fame during Panther Homecoming festivities the weekend of Oct. 13.

The newest Hall of Fame members are swimmer Roy Fielding, wrestler Ken Snyder, football player and track and field participant John Raffensperger, softball player Krista Fosbinder, and football player Mike Timmermans. In addition, Dixon Riggs, retired UNI biology professor and former Panther NCAA faculty athletics representative, will receive the Dr. Jitu D. Kothari Meritorious Service Award.

The inductees will be honored during a luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 13, prior to UNI's football game against Southern Illinois, as well as during halftime ceremonies. This year's induction ceremony is also special, in that the new UNI Athletics Hall of Fame - located in the connector between the UNI-Dome and the McLeod Center - will be officially dedicated on homecoming weekend.
