Al Albert joined the Tribe Club staff in January 2004 after a 33-year career as William and Mary's men's soccer coach. During his tenure leading the Tribe, he amassed more than 400 wins, eighth on the NCAA Division I list, and brought the Tribe onto the national soccer scene.

Al played soccer for William & Mary during the team's move from club to varsity levels. He graduated from W&M in 1969 and returned to be an assistant lacrosse coach before taking over head coaching duties for soccer in 1972.

He is a co-founder of both the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club and Tidewater Soccer Camps, while he served as president of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Al lives in Williamsburg with his wife Gail (class of 1976) and his daughter Allison. Al's son Graham, class of 2003, played soccer at William & Mary.
