Bin-Edward, Tiemens to play in All-Star Showcase

TORONTO – A pair of Ryerson Rams women's basketball players have been selected to play in the 12th annual OUA Women's Basketball All-Star Showcase game taking place this weekend at York University.

Second year guard Jama Bin-Edward and graduating fifth year guard Cara Tiemens will represent the blue and gold among the conference's all-stars on Saturday, May 4th.

Bin-Edward was named an OUA Third-Team All-Star this season after posting career-highs in points (10.1 per game) and rebounds (4.6 per game) and playing strong defence with 32 steals and 19 blocks. Tiemens was voted team MVP and finished her career this season with her best field goal percentage (37.9%) and three-point field goal percentage (37.3%).

A total of 20 players representing 14 schools will suit up for the 12th edition of the all-star festivities, including several of the stellar standouts from the year that was. Click here to read the full OUA release. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and can be seen live on
