Go Behind the scenes with Towson Football
Ever wonder what a typical week is like for a college football player?
It's more than just a few days of practice, then playing under the lights at Johnny Unitas® Stadium. It's team breakfasts at 7:00a.m., treatments, position meetings and, of course, a full slate of classes.
With the Tigers preparing to take on Morgan State in their 2011 season-opener, we spent a few days following Frank Beltre, a junior defensive end that's earned All-CAA recognition for his efforts both on the field, and in the classroom.
As fate would have it, Hurricane Irene slammed into the Chesapeake Bay just 24 hours before the Tigers' first practice in preparation for Morgan State, forcing the coaches and student-athletes to adjust their original plans.
