Meet the staff
Head Coach
- Sixth season as Towson's head coach in 2012
- After winning nine matches in his first season (2007), led Tigers to nine victories in 2011
- In 2011, coached two All-CAA performers (Cheyenne Skidmore, Sofia Read) and a CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District first team honoree (Jocelyn Papciak)
- Arrived at Towson after eight seasons as an assistant coach at James Madison, helping the Dukes to three NCAA Tournament appearances and one CAA championship
- Holds an advanced diploma from the NSCAA, has spent time as a coach with the Olympic Developmental program, and works with the Baltimore Bays U-16 club team
Assistant Head Coach
- Starting his first season on the Tigers' coaching staff in 2012
- Was on the full-time coaching staff with the Washington Freedom from 2006-2010 serving as the Director of Soccer Club and Freedom Futures (USL W-League) Head Coach
- Worked for the last six years with the Freestate Soccer Alliance in Bowie, Md. Puffer served as coach for several of the Freestate teams, including teams in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL)
- Spent 10 years working with the Maryland and New Hampshire Olympic Development programs, coaching on both the boys and girls sides.
- Served as an assistant at Stevenson University before joining Towson's staff
Assistant Coach
- First season as a volunteer assistant for the Tigers in 2012
- Four-year letter winner at forward for Miami University (OH)
- a two-time All-Mid American Conference (MAC) honoree as well as the MAC Freshman of the Year and a member of the 2007 All-Ohio Team
- Two-time selection to the MAC Honor Roll and was a National Strength and Conditioning All-American in 2010.
