Coaches
Meet the staff
Head Coach
  • 15th season as Towson's head coach in 2012-13
  • Coached Melanie Rowland to the 2012 US Olympic Trials in the 200 butterfly
  • Led the women's squad to four consecutive CAA Championships (2008-11); Towson finished second in 2011-12
  • Guided the women's team to a 21st-place finish at the 2011 NCAA Divsion I Swimming & Diving Championship, as four Tigers qualified for the event
  • Responsible for the development of Meredith Budner, who earned three-straight berths to the NCAA Championship, finishing her career as the national runner-up in the 500-yard and 1,650-yard freestyle at the 2011 NCAA Championship
  • On the men's side, coached Aaron Krause, a two-time "Most Outstanding Performer" at the CAA Championship, while also becoming Towson's first-ever NCAA Championship qualifier in (100-yard backstroke)
  • One of the most decorated swimmers in University of Delaware history, graduating in 1992 with four school records, and two ECC titles
  • Runs Tigerfish Aquatics, a USS team, with his wife, Maureen
Diving Coach
  • 15th season as the Tigers' Diving Coach in 2012-13
  • Coached Jeanne Ball and Caroline Baker to the 2012 NCAA Zone 'A' Regional, where they competed in the one- and three-meter events; Baker finished 16th overall in the three-meter
  • Responsible for Towson sending a school-record five divers to the 2011 NCAA Zone 'A' Championships, with senior Caroline Baker finishing 19th in the one-meter preliminaries
  • Under her guidance, the Tigers also sent two divers to the NCAA Zone 'A' Championships in 2009
  • On the men's side, helped Bradley Bolin complete a fantastic rookie campaign in 2006-07, ending with Bolin receiving CAA Men's Rookie Diver of the Year honors
  • Competed collegiately as a diver at Springfield College, qualifying for the NCAA Division II Championships in each of her final three years
Assistant Coach
  • Entering his first season as a volunteer assistant coach in 2012-13
  • A long time club swimmer and part-time masters swimmer
  • Has served as a head coach on club and high school levels and is ASCA Level II certified
Finn Christensen
Faculty Advisor
  • Entering his fourth season in 2012-13, provides a strong presence for the operations for the Tigers
  • An economics professor at Towson, has served as a faculty fellow for the past three seasons and serves as a liaison between the Towson academic and athletic staff
  • Holds a Masters degree and Ph.D. in economics from Cornell University
