A four-year letter winner in both football and basketball, Iverson was a fantastic athlete for the Vandals from 1933-36. He played forward for the basketball team and left end for the football squad. He showed leadership both on the field and off, serving in student government his junior year as the junior class president. The school’s athletic speed and strength center is named for Iverson. Iverson is also a member of the Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame.


In 1935, he was ninth in the Pacific Coast Conference's Northern Division in scoring with 97 points - the result of 46 field lgoals and 15 free throws. He matched that ranking in 1936 with 95 points, which came off of 34 field goals and 27 free throws.
