CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's tennis team will compete in its first action of the year this weekend, when it will take part in the ECU Fall Shootout from Friday through Sunday at River Birch Tennis Complex.
The reigning CAA Champion Cougars will get a look at some very familiar competition in Greenville, N.C., as they will be metched up with CAA-rivals Elon and James Madison, as well as East Carolina, Richmond and UNCG. The Cougars picked up two wins a piece against Elon and JMU last season, and took a 4-2 road win off of ECU as well. In addition, they earned a 6-1 over Richmond back in 2015. The Cougars have not faced UNCG since the SoCON era.

CofC's ten-man roster comprises five returners and five newcomers.  Juan Estevarena, the incumbent Most Outstanding Player at the CAA Tournament, makes his return, as does his doubles partner Rodrigo Encinas. Vasily Kichigin and Ryan Khan were both in the mix last year as well among the Top 6, and will also make their returns.
