Bradley Jones Selected By Blue Jays in MLB Draft

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston junior Bradley Jones was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 18th round (552 overall pick) of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Saturday.

Jones batted .283 with a team-high 11 home runs and 46 RBI in 2016. He was a preseason All-CAA selection and kicked off the season with six home runs and four doubles before collecting his first single of the year on March 5. The Travelers Rest, S.C., native hit a home run in four consecutive games from Feb. 27-March 2. He totaled five home runs over that stretch hitting two at Georgia Southern.

For his career, Jones has hit 23 home runs, which is 10th-most in CofC history. He was a All-CAA second team selection in 2015 after batting .309 with 11 long balls.
