CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sophomore Bailey Ober was named Colonial Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Ober threw a complete-game, 4-hitter in CofC’s 5-1 win over William & Mary last Thursday. The right-hander struck out seven, walked only one and became the first Cougars’ pitcher to throw back-to-back complete games since Nick Chigges in 2006.

On the season, Ober is 6-4 with a 3.65 ERA and has struck out 90 batters in 88.2 innings of work.

It is the second time this season Ober has been named CAA Pitcher of the Week. He also took home the honor on March 8 after not allowing a hit in 7.2 innings of work against The Citadel.
